Key Topics in Revelation
This is Jesus Now Eschatology.
It's a free resource which seeks to equip God's people with a framework for understanding the book of Revelation.
It's written and produced by Pastor Andrew Olson, of Minneapolis, MN.
The name has three parts, which help explain further the purpose of this resource.
1. Jesus - We exist to lift up the name of Jesus. He is the Lord. His Word is Inerrant, and fully inspired by God. He is the only hope of salvation, and His death on the cross paid the penalty for sin, once for all. He is with us through the fire of tribulation, even as He was with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednago. (Dan. 3:16-28)
2. Now - Jesus is coming again, as He promised. The Bible teaches that we should be always ready for His return. Some end times teachers suggest that "Jesus couldn't come back today... until _____ happens." We believe these are in error. We must all be ready now for His return. Further, His return is our joy, and hope. We long for His appearing (2 Tim. 4:8).
3. Eschatology - "A study of the End" is our aim. When I would study Revelation as taught by various authors, I felt that they overlooked or dismissed key sections of this book to support their narrative. We reject putting human wisdom above the Word itself, and are an advocate for theological humility when it comes to teaching others about one's understanding of Revelation. Our understanding are placed underneath the Word. The Word is the supreme authority.
We are ambassadors for Christ, in a dark world. God makes a special appeal through us to the world, "Be reconciled to God." (2 Cor 5:20)
Mission Statement:
Preparing the saints for the life ahead. Preaching to the lost.
Mourning what God mourns. Rejoicing over what He rejoices over.
